SwingLync Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Produce Wearable Golf Swing Analyzer for the Everyday Golfer
SwingLync is currently available for pre-order through Kickstarter.
September 11, 2017 ( datsyn.com) – SwingLync is a wearable golf training technology that provides body position analysis for the average golfer: Everyday players can now be taught exactly how to position their body during a swing using wearable sensors and their smartphone for less than the price of a new driver.
Using wearable sensors and a corresponding phone app, this golf swing analyzer helps players of all skill levels develop a better swing through improved body positioning. Golfers receive a visual snapshot of their results on their smartphone, which identifies the moment their swing went wrong, and what adjustments are required to fix it. By comparing a user’s swing to target positions, golfers can make meaningful changes that improve the mechanics of their swing.
“I have obsessed over the golf swing since I was a kid,” said Nick Mahowald, founder and creator of SwingLync. “After studying engineering, I realized that the key to an effective golf swing is proper body positioning. While attempting to improve my own swing, I was inspired to create an accessible technology for the everyday golfer to help them master the subtle changes that will have a major impact in their overall game.”
The easy to use technology includes three wireless sensors, each about the size of a matchbox, that fasten to the golfer’s waist, wrist, and back. Data is collected during every swing and instantly sent to the app, reporting measurements at key moments of the swing. This simplified feedback allows the common golfer to quickly resolve their biggest swing flaw and track their progress over time.
Swing feedback is customized to the golfer’s unique ability. In-app settings allow the user to personalize their feedback to match their skill level, making it the ideal training tool for beginners, average golfers, and avid players.
“What attracts me to SwingLync is the ability to measure body positioning,” said Warren Bailey, golf instructor at Island Lake Golf and Training Center. “I want to be able to show a student the point where they should stop their backswing because taking it back any further will compromise their accuracy, and power as well.”
SwingLync is currently available for pre-order through Kickstarter. Current pricing is $199 for the entire system plus accessories, with limited quantities available. The suggested retail price after Kickstarter will be $299.
“Everyday golfers have struggled with their swing flaws for far too long,” said Mahowald. “Our team is on a mission to change that.”
